I’m Looking for a Drug Rehab Center in Indianapolis, or Surrounding Area.?

Question by Heather: I’m looking for a drug rehab center in Indianapolis, or surrounding area.?
[rewrite]My father is highly addicted to crack cocaine. He is living with my grandma, but he steals from her and the others in the family. We have tried to find good places for him to go, but he will stay for a week and be discharged to come right back out and get back on the drug. Is there any place in the STATE of INDIANA that can help people with NO INCOME to find rehabilitation from drugs and alcohol. None of us can pay for his treatment and he can’t hold down a job because of physical illnesses that he had. Please someone help us!!!

First issue: if none of you have any income, or low income, go down and apply for free state provided medical insurance.. http://www.indianamedicaid.com/ is the link for that…
Beyond that, many places are low income but none will be free… if he is approved for medicaid then he can get in there and they will pay the entire cost…

Second issue: not sure if you’ve really delved deep enough into drug addiction issues, but if you’re only treating the drug addiction, it wont help… there’s psychological issues behind it and he will continue to relapse if he isn’t in constant care… there’s inpatient and outpatient programs that he may have to attend for months to get over his addiction… another reason why i advise talking to the medicaid off, because while he’s unemployed and receiving help, you and your family can be receiving assistance from the state to help compensate what he should be making… Hope this helps, contact me if you need more info or want to know more

If you can find funding, you might consider Fairbanks. Also, see if he can get treatment at Midtown Community Mental Health Center.

Has he tried Narcotics Anonymous? NA does not charge anyone although they do take up a voluntary collection to cover coffee and other meeting related costs. You and your family may also want to try Nar-Anon, for families of persons suffering from addiction.
