Question by CRAZZZY: Could I have adult autism/aspergers?
[rewrite]WARNING: LONG! detailed explinations PLZ read!!!! Ok, so I asked a ? last week about my 3yr old & i was asked if I could possibly be autistic or have aspergers. I found that quite interesting bcz I have wondered that a few times myself…I have always had extreme difficulty making & keeping friends. I have been diagnosed with agoraphobia (fear of public places & crowds) & borderline personality disorder…if I know I’m going somewhere Im not familiar with (&even if I’ve visited the place many Xs & know the ppl) I get so anxious I feel like ill pass out. I am what ppl describe as “loud & outgoing” but inside I’m the complete opposite. It takes everything I’ve got to make myself keep appts, get my kid to school, pretty much anything that requires the outside world… on the rare occasion I accept an invite to go out (it HAS to be something that involves my daughter in order for me to even consider going) I worry constantly until the time arrives to go & then all I can focus on is getting back home again…I’m not able to breath or relax until I’m home. A few yrs ago I was such a hermit, I actually developed VIT D deficiency from lack of sunlight & was put on supplements. I’m 27 & only started driving 6mths ago(GO ME!) Struggled w drug&alk abuse since I was a young teen bcz it was easier to “socialize”. When just chatting I’m always asking myself “did I say that right?!” “What to say next?” “R they understanding what I’m saying? Do they think I’m really dumb? an idiot?!” Even if i kno the person i doubt im making sense. Ive had only 1 job in my life then i met My husband 8yrs ago. He used 2 have 2 do EVERYTHING!! Go to work, go to store, pay bills, anything that involved public he handled until just recently. I wry 24-7 im a horrible mom & that something horrific is wrong w my daughter(nonstop looking 4 any hint of abnormal behavior). LIFE IS VERY VERY HARD!!! Thank u 4 reading this “novel” I decided to write…Do I fit the description of “autistic” or “aspergers”?
