[rewrite]I’d love to know you’re opinion on whether drug laws are doing anything to prevent drug abuse, etc.

I don’t think we have hit the right track yet to slow down drugs. I think they are still entering the USA at an alarming rate. I lost my son to a heroin overdose because it was too pure. Plus I’m sure he took too much. He was only 21 and yes he was stupid, but I don’t think he deserved to die for it. I wish there was something that could be done to remove it and its influence.

drug laws arent doing anything for the war on drugs. its like when you tell a child not to do something they want to do it even more. with drugs its the same way. we know the drugs are out there and since they are illegal it makes it more fun to take the risk to buy, sell, and do drugs. like in amsterdam marijuana is legal there so not many people smoke because they have it at all times and are able to get it. if drugs were legal here, then drug abuse would go down i believe because we would be able to get the drugs all the time and it wouldnt be as fun to do the drugs if you dont have to take the risks of doing them. such as jail time for attempt to sell or anything like that.
