Have drugs only been viewed with the negative connotations today because of the dangerous drugs we have today such as meth and pcp, did drugs use to be viewed with positive connotations?

Various drugs now illegal were accepted at different times, but, there were always tabooed substances in superstitious societies. Even chocolate was outlawed by the Roman Catholic Church for a while. But, knowledge of human physiology, the knowledge and use of which replaces psychedelic drugs, has always been the biggest secret prohibition. Let’s spread it now:

I am taking a college course on drug and alcohol addiction and need a good topic to discuss for fifteen minutes (yuck!) lol! Does anyone have a good suggestion?

Usually a social worker is involved and they do a study to determine which household is more stable and child friendly. Many factors come into play, including parent drug/alcohol abuse, school systems, extended family involvement, child care arrangements, parents and children’s preferences, and many more. Most states have a web site that explain how this works… I don’t remember how I found the one for Delaware when I was looking for info, but I’m sure if you search under __(Your state)__ Child custody laws you’ll find what you need to know.
