Individuals with this Borderline Personality Disorder behave impulsively and their relationships, self-image, and emotions are unstable.
Individuals with depression have depressed mood. They often feel sad or empty.
The two disorders are different, however it is very common (even typical) for people with borderline PD to also have depression. The treatments are different as well in some ways, although there is a lot of overlap too.
