In my book one character, John, is abusive and a drug abuser. In one chapter he has a bad hallucination from shrooms, I was planning on him reaching for the heroin to calm his mind but are these deadly together? I don’t want to make a mistake in my book nor do I want to kill this character off. Any other information concerning relationship abuse, drugs and effects, or drug addiction would be great too. I’ve done some research on cities in Oregon and it seems even the smallest cities in Oregon have high crime. I go to www.bestplaces.net to get info. And if you check out Oregon alot of the cities from big to small have some high crime. What’s with this?? Any locals out there please give me some insight on what’s going on.
I am moving to Oregon in a few months, so my interest is in Oregon only, I am not looking for info on the 49 other states.

He got addicted to cigarettes recently and keeps stealing my cigarettes, as well as money for him to support the habit. A pack of Marlboros or Newports costs about 11 dollars here in NYC. Would it be acceptable to punch him in the face even though he’s only 14?
I know cigarettes are bad but this is not the point. I don’t actually smoke them, I just sell them and hold them for friends. I only smoke marijuana and drink alcohol.

My brother had drug problem for at least 10+ years. He used the heavy stuff like cocaine and other stuff I don’t even know of.
The doctor gave him medication to clean his system, and he has been sober for 2 years.
Is it possible for somebody to cure their heavy drug addiction problem in short 2 years? What’s the odd that my brother’s problem is cured?
