How Can You Have Someone Committed to a Mental Institution?
Question by Haley J: How can you have someone committed to a mental institution?
My brother is 50 years old and a drug addict. He lives off my 67 year old mother. He has had heart attacks and strokes but continues to do drugs daily. How can I have him committed to a drug treatment center or better yet a mental health institution because he is mental and he has no control over his life or his addictions. I live in Ohio. Serious answers only please.

How to Find the Right Drug Rehab Center?
Question by Truth: How to find the right drug rehab center?
Does anyone know of a website or service that can help me locate a good drug rehab center? A family member is looking to get help and my family wants to make sure he enters the best facility we can find. We’re not looking for government funded facilities or out-patient programs, but a reliable inpatient rehab center. I’m not sure where to start looking, so if there’s a site or something where I can narrow down the search by certain criteria or success rate, it’d be a lot easier. Thanks.
What Are Your Opinions on Teen Challenge?
Question by Lady Tam: What are your opinions on Teen Challenge?
My 28 year old cousin has been abusing alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine for 15 years. Just as things seemed to be getting better, he quit his job (the best thing that’s happened to him in 28 years). He also suffers from Depression and Bipolar Disorder.
I have been researching Christian Drug and Alcohol inpatient treatment centers, and came across Teen Challenge. I’m curious as to whether or not the majority of people have had good or bad experiences coming out of this program.
Thanks!

Should I Be Worried My Dog Will Not Be the Same?
Question by yoohookitten: Should I be Worried my dog will not be the same?
I must do a 28 day inpatient drug rehab program. I am worried about leaving my dog. We are together 24/7. He trusts only me and listens to only me. He has other human friends that will be looking after him. Should I be so worried he will not respond to me as he does now?

Why Does It Make Sense to Put People in Prison for Drug Offenses So They Can Learn to Be Better Criminals?
Question by No Mas Republicano: Why does it make sense to put people in prison for drug offenses so they can learn to be better criminals?
And possibly become racists and gang-bangers because they have to in order to survive in prison. Is that what we want them to learn?
Shouldn’t they be forced into a drug rehab facility instead?

Ok it’s official. We will let all the prisons open and let all the criminals go frocklicking through the field of daisies onto American playgrounds. What a sick liberalalala land.
