What Does a Cancer Registrar Do?

Question by Amaretta: What does a cancer registrar do?
[rewrite]This question is obviously for Denisedds. And where does a cancer registrar work? At a hospital or medical center? For the city/county/state/federal government? And who uses the statistics you accumulate? Have you noticed increases or decreases in specific types of cancer since you’ve been doing your job?

Hi Amaretta,

How Can I Get Treatment for Drug Dependency?

Question by Big Bob: How can I get treatment for drug dependency?
[rewrite]Hi. I was just weighing my options for how to deal with my drug problem. I work random 1st and 2nd shifts so inpatient rehab is out of the question, and because of the 1st and 2nd shift switching I couldn’t make every intensive outpatient meeting. I am not quite sure how to handle this. It is very hard for me to just stop using drugs by myself. I would probably go to rehab but I just started this new job I went to school for. Is there any other ways I can get help?

I am a diabetic Canadian and I am covered by universal health care.I receive my diabetes education, blood tests, foot care, eye care and doctor care under our system for a cost of $ 0.I was given a free glucose meter and my provincial drug assistance plan covers most of my meds. Any medical treatment related to my diabetes will be covered when it comes to that.

[rewrite]Lortab,300mg of Neurontin,15mg of Valium,4mg of Zanaflex a day. The Drs. are talking to him about a pain pump or a spinal stimulator. We don’t know which way would be best for him to go. Has anyone out there had either one? What are the pro’s and con’s of either one. My husband is 65 and is desperate to find something to help him. He has so many other health issues, such as kidney failure, heart disease, and has just gone through the most incredible cancer treatment! We were just told that he is cancer free!! M.D. Anderson Rocks!
