Individuals with depression have depressed mood. They often feel sad or empty.
The two disorders are different, however it is very common (even typical) for people with borderline PD to also have depression. The treatments are different as well in some ways, although there is a lot of overlap too.

I am on an antidepressant, Paxil. It is said to be one of the most difficult drugs to stop taking if you decide you don’t want to have it in your system anymore. It does help with my social anxiety.
