I’ve heard a lot about the drug treatment centers in Florida. Apparently, some are the best in the country. This just piqued my curiosity. Why in Florida, of all the states?

Florida houses a lot of drug treatment centers because a lot of types of drugs permeate that state. Some of the common types of drugs that can be found in Florida are: club drugs, ecstasy, cocaine, and heroin. Due to Florida’s possession of these illegal drugs in large quantities, the state made it a point to build various drug treatment centers that aim to help individuals veer away from the usage of drugs.

Well… I live in Virginia.. I have only heard of these things existing in California..
I suffer from depression and anxiety.. I smoke pot for medicinal purposes, only when I feel down in the dumps and/or overly anxious. I find that it helps me relax, concentrate on things better, and even help me smile and laugh(my depression makes me fake it otherwise) I have tried talking to my therapist about it and other adults in my life, but they all say the same thing.. POT IS A DRUG-BLAH BLAH BLAHHH, I however, disagree.. I feel no addiction and can stop whenever I want, I have plenty friends who smoke but I do not smoke for the same reasons most of them do—->(friends: dude, pot is awesome everybody needs to smoke to bring peace to the world etc, etc, and more hippie like things). I have been prescribed xanax and other drugs to help, but marijuana is the only thing that seems to truly help me with these problems I’m experiencing..
I had a rough childhood and have been through allot. I dont smoke for the hell of it, or to ‘be cool’
My question is, how can I get a legit doctor to prescribe me this stuff and/or give me a license for it-so I dont feel like a criminal for doing something that honestly helps me with these chronic problems, what kind of doc. do i go to for this kind of ordeal, and is there a doc. in my area who can do this.. Remember I live in Virginia wayyyyyy on the opposite side of California.

My cousin abandoned her 4 month old daughter due to a drug addiction. Luckily the child’s grandmother was there to adopt her and provide her with a loving, stable environment and she is now a beautiful 6 year old girl. My cousin is due to have another baby very soon and is currently on methadone treatments. She has no where to go once the baby is born because she has burned all her bridges with the family. I am extremely concerned about the welfare of this child once it is born. Will CPS be aware of the current situation from her past case? Should I just go ahead and call CPS to make them aware?
