Who Should I Donate To?

Question by Tyler: Who should I donate to?
This year, I am deciding to donate about 1% of my total income for the year. I made about $ 5000 this year so that equates to about $ 50. I have a few organizations I am considering donating to, I just am not sure. I’m 17, and I just like donating, volunteering, and giving back to the community.

I Need to Get Divorced but Have Some Legal Problems That I Need Help With.?

Question by xxyy: I need to get divorced but have some legal problems that I need help with.?
I am currently living in West Virginia however I do not maintain a residence because I have been living in my car. I work full time and goto school full time. I have been seperated from my husband for about 10 months and there is no chance of reconciliation as he is addicted to drugs and that is something I cannot live with. He has left the area and I have no idea where to locate him. Rather than drag his drug addiction/lying/cheating through the courts I would just like to file abandonment. Does anyone have any advice on how and where I would be able to file this? I am close to the WV, OH and PA borders but all 3 states have residency requirements. I don’t have a house but I have a post office box.

If You Abandoned Your First Child and Get Pregnant Again Will CPS Take the Newborn? (Virginia)?

Question by Mom with a Misson: If you abandoned your first child and get pregnant again will CPS take the newborn? (Virginia)?
My cousin abandoned her 4 month old daughter due to a drug addiction. Luckily the child’s grandmother was there to adopt her and provide her with a loving, stable environment and she is now a beautiful 6 year old girl. My cousin is due to have another baby very soon and is currently on methadone treatments. She has no where to go once the baby is born because she has burned all her bridges with the family. I am extremely concerned about the welfare of this child once it is born. Will CPS be aware of the current situation from her past case? Should I just go ahead and call CPS to make them aware?

Why Does Bush Have Your Private Medical Records?

Question by Marc Miami: Why does Bush have your private medical records?
Bush administration is prying into your medical records in violation of the law

We learned yesterday that the Bush administration has created a database of every single prescription drug user/patient in the country (that would pretty much be all of us). The database was created pursuant to a 2005 law that was intended to prevent the abuse of prescription drugs. Funny that this massive new database of your private medical information is now being (ab)used for a purpose that wasn’t intended in or approved by the law.

Did You Know the Partnership for a Drug Free America Was Funded by Alcohol and Tobacco Companies?

Question by JD2010: Did you know the Partnership for a Drug free America was funded by alcohol and tobacco companies?
“PDFA was the subject of criticism when it was revealed by CyCot ts Cotts of the Village Voice that their federal tax returns showed that they had received several million dollars worth of funding from major pharmaceutical, tobacco and alcohol corporations including American Brands (Jim Beam whiskey), Philip Morris (Marlboro and Virginia Slims cigarettes, Miller bTannhauserheuser Busch (Budweiser, Michelob, Busch beer), R.J. Reynolds (Camel, Salem, Winston cigarettes), as well as pharmaceutical firms Bristol Meyers-Squibb, Merck & Company and Proctor & Gamble; an issue which has been linked to the organization’s lack of media discouraging the misuse of legal drugs. From 1997 it has discontinued any fiscal association with tobacco and alcohol suppliers, although it still is in receipt of donations from pharmaceutical producers[2].
